Model : Cat Trivino MUA : Macy Aguilar Location : South Forbes Golf City I have been planning this shoot for a long time but having problems with the lighting set up every time I make a mockup. I first saw a picture with a cat’s eye in the maiden issue of i-mag photography magazine. Mr. Ibarra Deri, my mentor, captured the image. He utilized 2 lite panel reflectors to create a double horizontal reflection on the model’s cornea mimicking a cat’s eye. But since I don’t have lite panels, I just used 2 Styrofoam boards instead.
For the main light, I pointed a strobe on the ceiling in front of the model, creating a modified butterfly lighting. 2 strobes were positioned at the back pointed on the white wall to burn the background. The 2 Styrofoam boards placed horizontally in front of the model act as reflectors to soften the shadows at the same time create an interesting catch light on the model’s eyes.
