Model and MUA : Sheena Lazo Location : Ayala Westgrove Heights It's been a while since I've posted something here . Been busy with my day job lately but I'm not complaining : ) Sheena is one of our regular make-up artist but this time , she was both the MUA and the model. She was also the one who suggested this concept. I really had fun doing this shoot.
I was also able to try the VSCO film preset in Lightroom . It's a film emulation preset which basically mimic digital files into film and I'm really happy with the results of the processed images. It also simplified my workflow tremendously . Please click on the thumbnails below for a larger view of the photos You can check VSCO film

Model : Jenice Marcelo MUA : Kristine Rodriguez-Lucas Part 2 of Jen and this time a little bit more daring . I'm glad Jen was up for it . I'm also loving the grungy look on some of the photos although I still need a lot to learn in post-processing . No BTS this time :) Please click on the thumbnails below for a larger view of the photos . Model : Cat Trivino MUA : Macy Aguilar Location : South Forbes Golf City I have been planning this shoot for a long time but having problems with the lighting set up every time I make a mockup. I first saw a picture with a cat’s eye in the maiden issue of i-mag photography magazine. Mr. Ibarra Deri, my mentor, captured the image. He utilized 2 lite panel reflectors to create a double horizontal reflection on the model’s cornea mimicking a cat’s eye. But since I don’t have lite panels, I just used 2 Styrofoam boards instead.
For the main light, I pointed a strobe on the ceiling in front of the model, creating a modified butterfly lighting. 2 strobes were positioned at the back pointed on the white wall to burn the background. The 2 Styrofoam boards placed horizontally in front of the model act as reflectors to soften the shadows at the same time create an interesting catch light on the model’s eyes. Although 'not prepared ' , she strut her wares in front of the camera skillfully. Well, she used to be a model before becoming a make-up artist : )
Hope to see you more in front of the camera, Macy : ) Please click on the thumbnails below for a larger view of the photos . Model : Jenice Marcelo MUA : Macy Aguilar Location: South Forbes Golf City This is the last fun shoot for the year. The alluring Jenice was our model with Macy doing another awesome job on the makeup. Macy also agreed to work in front of the camera and we were able to get a couple of 'sexy' shots of her : D ( will post pictures of Macy next time ). It was a whole day of fun and pizzas!
Made another BTS video . Really enjoyed doing videos and I plan to learn and do more in 2012 : ) Happy New Year everyone ! Please Click on the thumbnails below for a larger view of the photos . BTS video here : http://vimeo.com/34359814 Models : Kriz Nuqui /Jem Arcenal MUA : Macy Aguilar Location : South Forbes Golf City Kriz Jem Fun shoot last November 30. We were fortunate to have two gorgeous models, Kriz and Jem. This was the first time we worked with Kriz. A very talented model which made the shoot easy and enjoyable . And of course the very beautiful Jem was also present . I think this was the fifth or sixth time we had her as model but we are not complaining : ) I hope to do more photo shoots with them soon . Made a BTS video as well. It's been a while and I've missed doing this kind sort of MTV . So, enjoy : ) Please click on the thumbnails below for a larger view of the photos. BTS video below. Model : Karen Ballesteros MUA : Michelle Ballesteros Location : South Forbes We did a 'Film Noir' themed shoot last week. Film Noir is a visual style emphasizing low-key lighting and were used in the 1940’s and 50’s movies. I enjoyed this session since this is something different from the past photo shoots we did. A little bit tricky on the lighting, though, and mostly we employed only one light with grids and snoots.

Model : Kamiru Jazumin MUA : Sheena Lazo Location : South Forbes Kamiru is a lot of things – barista, marketing student and model. She juggles these easily and knows how to set her priorities well. She was very comfortable in front of the camera and we didn’t hear any complaints even if we asked her some awkward poses.
It was raining the whole day yesterday so we ended doing all the shots inside our attic. Most of the shots were high key using 3 lights. Please click on the thumbnails below for a larger view of the photos. Model : Joyce Aranilla MUA : Sheena Lazo Location : South Forbes Joyce is a freelance model. She is also a graduating advertising student from Assumption College. She has this Eurasian look with a beautiful ‘chinita’ eyes.
We got limited shots that day since we started a bit late. By the time we went out to do our outdoor shots, the sun already set and most of the shots were taken with ISO 3200. But I think we still managed to get some decent photos. We will be doing a part 2 of her next week : ) Please click on the thumbnails below for a larger view of the photos. |
